This recipe is a total comfort food and leftover can stored for
many weeks in your refrigerator. There are hundreds of variations of traditional recipe. It’s very
healthy. My family loves this comfort food especially during rainy days.
Ingredients
1 medium onion, cubes
3 large carrots, sliced
3 ribs celery, chopped
1 clove garlic, peeled & chopped
2 bay leaves
800g beef
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
3 cup beef broth
3 cup water
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can diced tomatoes
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon A1 steak sauce
1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Dash ground allspice
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1) Brown meat in Dutch oven with oil.
2) Add all ingredients except carrots and celery.
3) Cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours in
low heat.
4) Add carrots and celery. Cover and
cook in low heat for another 45 minutes.
